Why get a pre-demolition survey?
A pre-demolition asbestos survey must be carried out prior to any part of a whole demolition of a building. The purpose of this survey is to locate any asbestos containing materials that must be removed prior to any demolition works taking place.
Whats involved in the survey?
This survey is very intrusive and damage will be caused. All areas in the building will be inspected and if asbestos is located but the demolition phase is not imminent, then the asbestos containing materials will need to be managed until it is removed from site.
